Abandoned monastery of Trappist monks in the south of the island of Mallorca. The guided route to the Trapa Monastery offers incredible landscapes, including a privileged box to observe the natural park of the island of Dragonera.
In 1810, Trappist monks settled in this idyllic place, building a monastery with a water catchment system. After the confiscation of Mendizábal it was abandoned and it would not be until 1993 when the environmental group GOB would buy it and proceed with its restoration. Today, the area is recovered under strict protection, offering visitors incredible landscapes, including a privileged box to observe the Dragonera Island Natural Park. The descent is made by an old mountain pass equipped with fixed ropes, which, although short, is not suitable for people with vertigo.
With the intention of being more respectful of the environment and reducing emissions, we take you in our vehicle completely free of charge. Request at the time of your reservation as places are limited (6 in total) by strict order of request. Please note that we cannot wait for the participants at the different stops, as this would delay the start of the activity.
